Rotoblock Expands Corporate Mission to Capitalize on the Advanced Propulsion Technology Market

SANTA ROSA, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 24, 2006 -- Noting rising energy costs around the world and increasing demand for advanced propulsion systems, engine technology firm Rotoblock Inc. (OTC BB:ROTB.OB - News) today announced the approval by the Board of Directors of a resolution to expand the Mission of the Company.

Rotoblock was founded in 2003 towards the development of its patented Oscillating Piston Engine technology (OPE), a radically new form of internal combustion engine designed to meet the need for smaller, more efficient internal combustion engines for world markets. Rotoblock officials say that the OPE has reached a stage of development where the strategic goals will now include the incorporation of the engine into a complete propulsion system. Rotoblock President Matthias Heinze notes there is an opportunity for Rotoblock to expand through partnering and licensing with the many companies around the world developing components and technologies that can integrate into the OPE and other engine concepts.

"At this stage of development for the OPE, we are now exploring opportunities to implement the engine into full-scale propulsion systems," said Heinze. "This is a new phase of development for the Company in which Rotoblock must spend time farming all the new technology that is emerging around the world. But I think this time will be well-spent with the opportunity for Rotoblock to participate in the development of the next-generation in advanced propulsion technology."

Heinze said he sees opportunities to integrate the OPE and other engine concepts into advanced propulsion systems and says Rotoblock has an opportunity to take a leadership position in this emerging market. Rotoblock is seeking partners and contributors to execute this strategy and Mr. Heinze noted the recent Letter of Intent with Apollo Energy Systems, Inc. as an example. Rotoblock and Apollo intend to develop a hybrid electric drive-train complimented by the integrated OPE engine with Apollo's patented Alkaline Fuel Cell and Lead-Cobalt Battery.
